Some years ago, a few days after my 30th birthday, I met a man under a tree. Three years later, we got married.

I guess we were lucky. We weren’t looking for partners when BAM! Serendipity happened. On a trouvé l’amour. ❤️ He’s my best birthday gift ever.

I wonder: If I’m a single woman in my 30s and looking to mingle, what would I do today? 🤔

Here are ideas:

#1: Travel often. Hands down, this has always been my favorite way of meeting new people. I met my husband while on holiday.

#2: Say yes to invitations. Note to self: Get out of the house.

#3: Join meet-ups or clubs. I’d use Facebook groups and MeetUp.com to meet like-minded people. Cocktails, hiking, language exchange, wine tasting, quiz nights, investing, and other hobby-related events.

#4: Go to fun places. Festivals, concerts, speakeasy bars. I don’t know about you but when I hit my 30s, I can’t tolerate dark, loud, smoky places anymore. But if single, I’d make an exception. Who doesn’t like meeting fun people?
