Have you ever read a 382-page book only to realize on the last page, Wow, that sucked?
The book wasted your time. It also made you feel like if someone gave you $10 to watch film flops like Green Lantern or Speed 2, you’d rather say yes than spend another minute on that book.
Fine, fine. I’m exaggerating.
But when you choose to read a book over an episode of White Lotus or The Crown, you can’t help but expect something in return. Is it too much to ask that a book be worth your golden time?
Over the last decade, I’ve become obsessed with nonfiction. I devoured books on self-help, business, personal finance, creativity, writing…anything that could help me become happier, healthier, and richer.
But as I delighted in the written word, I realized three (3) things:
